Organic Food and
Other Organic Products
There is a quiet revolution going on throughout the world and you are probably already familiar with it - the revolution consists of us all eliminating as many toxins, poisons and chemicals from our lives as possible. Not only is their a focus on "Going Green" with manufacture, auto and industry in general - there is also a major movement to clean up our daily food intake so as to stop poisoning ourselves with our daily bread. We at Lincoln Park Market over on the North Side of Chicago carry an ever growing inventory of organically grown products. We believe that organically grown foods offer a better balance of nutritional intake to the average person and in general provide less of a damaging impact on our bodies and nature as a whole. Most all of our organic products have organic certification which is the public’s assurance that products have been grown and handled according to strict procedures without persistent toxic chemical inputs. If you are not already a proponent of organic foods - one great reason to give it a try is that factually they taste better than most non organic foods. Of course it’s common sense – well-balanced soils produce strong, healthy plants that become nourishing food for people and animals would be a much better solution than the typical mass produced nutrition depriving methods of big business farming. Organic production reduces health risks. Many EPA-approved pesticides were registered long before extensive research linked these chemicals to cancer and other diseases. Organic agriculture is one way to prevent any more of these chemicals from getting into the air, earth and water that sustain us and organic farms respect our water resources. We all can support these endeavors as much as we can and ensure that our daily "footprints" across the planet start to reverse the dwindling spiral of geological doom and gloom. The elimination of polluting chemicals and nitrogen leaching, done in combination with soil building, protects and conserves water resources.Organic farmers build healthy soil. Soil is the foundation of the food chain. The primary focus of organic farming is to use practices that build healthy soils. As Al Gore discovered... we do have an impact on the planet and as our awareness increases on that which we create, we can all be better custodians of our world. So let us help you with your needs and if you don't find what you are searching for, drop us an email or let us know in person and we will work hard to find and provide it as best we can.
